Story

Sebastian Kloborg, born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1986, trained at The Royal Danish Ballet School before joining The Royal Danish Ballet in 2003, where he danced until 2016. He also danced with Gauthier Dance in Stuttgart, Germany, from 2012 to 2014, before embarking on a freelance career as a dancer and choreographer.

In his freelance work, he frequently collaborates with Maria Kochetkova, performing works by renowned choreographers such as David Dawson, Benjamin Millepied, and William Forsythe. Kloborg's choreographic talents were recognized during his Choreographic Fellowship with Danish Dance Theatre from 2017 to 2020, where he created acclaimed works like "Walk the Beast."

His choreography has been commissioned by esteemed companies such as English National Ballet, Beijing Dance Theatre, and Ballett Chemnitz, earning him recognition such as the National Theatre award for dance production of the year in 2019 for "Absolute Pitch-Black."

In recent years, Kloborg has expanded his creative ventures, co-directing physical theater productions at the Betty Nansen Theatre in Copenhagen, including adaptations of Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" and Unice Zürn's "Dark Spring" in 2022. Additionally, he serves as the associate artistic director of the DAP Dance Festival in Pietrasanta, Italy, and sits on the board of the Copenhagen International Choreography Competition.
