Story

Mayara Magri born in Brazil, started ballet at the age of 8 in Rio de Janeiro. In 2011 she won the Gold Medal at the Youth America Grand Prix and Prix de Lausanne, where she got a scholarship to study at The Royal Ballet School. On her school graduation she performed ‘Paquita’ and ‘Un Ballo’ as lead female roles, before joining the Royal Ballet Company, where she was promoted to First Soloist in 2017. Still as a soloist Mayara had already done many Principal Roles at The Royal Opera House and guested in prestigious ballet galas around the globe. In 2020 she was due to premiere as Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, but this was cancelled due to the pandemic. In May 2021 she was promoted to Principal and in February 2022 she finally had her debut as the “Swan Queen” in Swan Lake. Aside from her on-stage accomplishments, Mayara is passionate about social problems and uses her voice as a brand ambassador to raise awareness for causes she believes in.
