Story

Born in the province of Lecce, she commenced her ballet training at the La Scala Academy Ballet School at just 13 years old. After graduating, she joined the Staatsballett in Berlin under the direction of Vladimir Malakhov, where she danced in classical and contemporary productions for three seasons. In 2013, she joined the Teatro alla Scala Ballet Company and swiftly rose to prominence, appointed Prima Ballerina in 2014 and subsequently Étoile in 2023.

Throughout her career, she has showcased her versatility, performing a wide range of roles in both classical and contemporary repertoire. Notable performances include Tatiana in "Onegin," Odette/Odile in "Swan Lake," and Giselle. She has collaborated with renowned choreographers such as John Cranko, George Balanchine, and Martin Schläpfer, earning critical acclaim for her artistry and skill.

Her international acclaim extends beyond the stage, having won awards such as the Rome Dance Prize in 2012 and being named Dancer of the Year in 2014. She has performed as a guest artist at prestigious venues worldwide, including the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow and the Kremlin Ballet. In September 2020, she was honored with the "dancer of the year on the international scene" award at the forty-eighth edition of "Positano premia la danza Léonide Massine".
